Meet Our Team

Our primary BCBA, Sally LaVigne, is the Executive Director of Bloom Behavior Services LLC. Sally has 19 years’ experience working with children and adults with disabilities. Sally began her career in 2002 after graduating from the University of Central Missouri with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Special Education holding certifications in Severely Developmentally Disabled, Intellectual Disabilities, Behavior Disorders and Cross-Categorical Classrooms. Sally taught in the public school system for 11 years in a Life Skills classroom. During this time, Sally’s desire to learn more and dedication to her student’s success led her to pursue her master’s degree in Advanced Practitioner in Special Education for Behavior Disorders and Augmentative Communication from the University of Nebraska. Upon graduating, Sally moved out of the classroom position and worked as an Instructional Coach at the School District of Washington in 2012. Sally was able to work closely with a BCBA during this time and decided there was more she could learn to help her students. Sally completed her course work through Southern Illinois University-Carbondale to become a Behavior Analyst herself. After passing her exam she became a Licensed Behavior Analyst and the Director of a Behavior Support/Day Habilitation Program for a local not for profit agency in 2016. Sally has been a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst for over 4 years and has now opened her own practice. Her dedication and passion for working with individuals.
In everyone's life there are good times and bad times. It is how each person reacts to those times that can determine the outcome. In a high-paced world, we are still codependent on the relations we have with each other. We are social by nature, and our family can often play a large role in the way we feel. I am a Master’s student finishing my degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT). MFT works with a wide range of clients. The range of psychological problems treated by MFTs include marital and couple conflict, parent and child conflict, alcohol and drug abuse, sexual dysfunction, grief, distress, eating disorders and the self-image concerns that go along with this. I also work with children’s behavior problems, such as ADD/ADHD, as well as issues with eldercare. As our parents get older, coping with a parent’s or grandparent’s dementia, can be a difficult part of our lives. I have worked with the elderly for ten plus years and have seen firsthand the affects this care has on the children that are now the caregivers. In addition to my Bachelor’s in Psychology, I have worked in the medical field as a Medical Assistant and a Nursing Assistant. Through this time, I developed my understanding of caregiver and patient relationships. As I finish my degree in Marriage and Family therapy, I can pull the same knowledge base and incorporate this in to what MFT is all about. Working with individuals and families to find the solution they are looking for. Marriage and Family Therapy is a sort-term and solution-based form of therapy. The length of therapy will be determined by the severity of each unique client’s situation. Specializations: Couples Therapy, Family of Origin Issues, Marital Therapy Treatment Modalities: Family Systems, Family Therapy, Marital Therapy
